Be Miners Valentine

Not everyone has a knight in shining armour to spend valentine's day with. It can often feel lonely to spend the most romantic day alone whilst people kiss and exchange mass produced cards. But love doesn't just have to limited to a significant other. It stretches to you family and your friends, and you should also love yourself. So instead of spending a fortune on overpriced chocolate, why not treat yourself to some cosmetics?

The Cheek Of It! blush stick is a great and convenient product. It gives you a natural flush and is great if your on the go or need something quick.

When taken, lipstick isn't always a wise choice as it can make quite a mess, but if you are single this Valentine's day, rock a bright lip like Kiss Me Quick from Miners Moisture Effect range.

Pink nails are great any time of year but this beautiful polish is perfect for February 14th. 1000 Kisses is a natural pink colour with a purple duo chrome, which sadly doesn't show up in the photo.

Empties (Jan 2014)

I have recently used up a lot of products and to make a blog post and then bin them. With each product I say whether I liked it and whether I would buy it again.

For hair care I used up 5 dry shampoos and a hair mousse. My favourite dry shampoo is definitely the  tinted Batiste on in Medium and Brunette. I love it because it doesn't leave a white residue in my hair. As for the other Batiste ones I liked them, but probably wouldn't re-buy them. The Beauty Formula dry shampoo was okay and the Wilkinson's tinted didn't have a white residue but it smelt like play-doh. The Superdrug own brand mousse was great but I have others that I need to used up first.

For scents I used up 5 body sprays, 4 from Wilkinson's and 1 from Impulse. I used to love these when I was younger but I now prefer to perfume as it lasts longer. All of them were okay but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy them again. I used up 3 cheap perfumes but again there were nothing special and would not re-buy them. I also used up 2 deodorants which is good to know. My favourite is the Sure 48 hour one which I have already repurchased.

Finally for skin care I used up a Witch cleanser which I did like but it didn't really do anything for my skin, and eye make up remover and a toner from Skin Therapy, Wilkinson's range of skin care, which were nothing more than okay, an eye make up remover and toner from Simple, which I absolutely love and have backups of and a tub of Sudocrem, which is simply just Sudocrem.

Please note that I didn't include products which I use in the bath or shower such as face and body wash or shampoos. However I will try to include them in the future.
